The Government of Uttar Pradesh has announced an investment of approximately ₹2,500 crore to strengthen its healthcare manufacturing ecosystem, with a focus on pharmaceuticals and medical devices.
The initiative includes two major infrastructure projects—a Bulk Drug and Pharma Park in Lalitpur and a Medical Device Park near the Noida International Airport in the NCR region. Of the total outlay, around ₹2,000 crore will be invested in the 1,500-acre bulk drug park in Lalitpur, while ₹500 crore will be allocated to the 350-acre medical device park near Greater Noida.
The Lalitpur park will offer plug-and-play infrastructure, enabling pharmaceutical companies to set up operations efficiently and at scale, while also generating significant employment opportunities. The medical device park near Greater Noida is expected to enhance logistics and export capabilities, strengthening India’s position in the global medical device manufacturing sector.
In addition, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority plans to develop flatted factory complexes to support medical device manufacturing, facilitating faster project execution and ease of operations.
These initiatives are aimed at boosting the state’s healthcare manufacturing capacity and attracting further investments into the sector.
